Welcome to Southern Minnesota !(the Birthplace of Minnesota Nice !)
A year-around region where Minnesota "NICE" is always in full bloom and sometimes blustery, too. Bring your camera and capture your own memories. Visit the many fine shops, eateries and fun places along Route 60 & there about. Listen to the local "salt of the earth" radio stations such as KRUE 92.1 or KDHL 92.0, keeping us up on the tunes, news, weather and sports, or catch a home grown TV station and see what's happening in our world. What about checking out those local auctions, garage and personal sales. Just so you catch all the events, check the "Activity" section, so you can capture events like Waterville's Bullhead Days." and Steele County Fair or check out what is happening in Faribault. Site PurposeIf you are one of the privileged that live in this robust region or an occasional visitor, or newbie visitor, then take a look around this site and hopefully it will encourage you to take in all the activities and events this area of Minnesota offers. Using Mankato (see map) as a jumping off point, this site covers from Mankato, North to St. Peter, East to Northfield, South East to Kenyon, South West to Owatonna, West to Waseca and North West back to Mankato. How much can you see, experience and taste in one day, or enjoy over a weekend or come for a longer stay.
